Amère is a luxury custom art studio devoted to a simple idea. The most beautiful things in life are the ones made with intention. We create bespoke, heirloom quality art for weddings and for the homes and lives that follow them. Each piece is designed to be kept, and made to carry meaning long after the moment it was created for has passed.
Amère takes its name from the French à mère, of the mother. A quiet nod to legacy, to the things passed down, to the beauty that lives in a home rather than simply passing through it.
We call this inhabited elegance. Beauty that isn't simply displayed, but lived in.
THE PHILOSOPHY
Amère was born from a single conviction. Nothing should be chosen without meaning.
It started while planning my own wedding. I wanted every detail to carry sentiment, nothing chosen simply because it was expected. I found I couldn't settle on a single decision unless it held real meaning behind it, and it was my grandmothers' and my mother's favorite flowers that became the starting point for our entire wedding theme. That was the moment I understood that art was the truest way to bring it all together.
As a newlywed, beginning a life with my husband and stepping into our first home, that same instinct stayed with me. I wanted our life surrounded by things that felt considered rather than accidental, and I couldn't imagine a more beautiful way to hold onto that than through art.
That is the spirit Amère was made to carry.
I am honored, with every piece I create, to design meaningful, long lasting, collectible works of bespoke art. Art that transforms the ordinary into something elevated, and offers my clients that same avenue. A way to bring intentionality into their events and their homes, and to hold onto the sentiment of it all in a keepsake made to last.
